Introduction and the aim
Welcome to the “Internationalization in Higher Education” course! This course delves into various aspects of internationalization and its impact on higher education institutions worldwide. Internationalization is a crucial component of modern education, fostering a global perspective, enhancing cross-cultural understanding, and providing numerous benefits to universities, students, and educators.
Throughout this course, we will explore a series of lectures delivered by experts from diverse educational backgrounds and institutions. These lectures will shed light on various facets of internationalization, including the benefits and challenges of incoming and outgoing mobility, the importance of intercultural activities, and the implications of teaching cultural diversity. We will also delve into curricular and extracurricular initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive educational environment.
The course will feature a combination of recorded presentations and PowerPoint slides from renowned institutions such as Unipegaso in Italy, the Virtual University of Tunis, Luminus Technical University College, and the University of Montpellier, among others. Each lecture provides valuable insights into the internationalization process and its effects on the academic landscape.
