Background
The aim of the course is to support students in developing stories and using the stories as a learning opportunity.
In the course, the storytelling didactical approach is explained and supported by practical information and materials that might help.
In the first lesson:
- storytelling is conceptualised, and the role of social and cultural activity in sharing stories is identified,
- a brief history of visual, oral, written and digital storytelling is given,
- storytelling as an essential form of communication and universal skill is presented.
In the second lesson:
- the ways of using digital storytelling is explained,
- digital storytelling is conceptualised as an effective learning tool for teachers.
In the third lesson:
- main characteristics of digital stories are presented
- didactic tips on how to prepare good digital stories are given
In the fourth lesson:
- students manual that may help students to produce the storytelling videos are available in three languages (English, French and Arabic)
