Building a Quality Culture in Universities

After completion of this lesson, learners will:

  • Understand the fundamental principles and importance of quality assurance and quality culture in higher education institutions (HEIs).
  • Comprehend the correlation between quality culture and organisational culture, encompassing the constituent aspects and concepts that delineate them.
  • Apply the tools and methods for assessing quality culture, such as the Quality Culture Inventory (QCI) and stakeholder feedback mechanisms.
  • Examine case studies and exemplary practices from other universities to uncover successful techniques for implementing quality assurance systems.
  • Assess the influence of including stakeholders in building and preserving a culture of excellence in universities.
  • Develop strategic plans and frameworks to cultivate a culture of excellence inside their institutions, incorporating proven methods and insights gained from successful implementations
  • Understand and analyse different models of management in HEIs and their impact on institutional effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.
